Andrew C. Woofter, III

 

Born February 15, 1970, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Andrew is a 1988 honors graduate of Mercyhurst Preparatory School in Erie. In 1992, he graduated, cum laude, from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, and a minor in Economics. Andrew continued his education at The Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he earned his Juris Doctor in June, 1995.

Admitted to the West Virginia State Bar in October, 1995, and to the Ohio Bar in 2006, Andrew is admitted to practice law in all State Courts in West Virginia and Ohio, and is a member of the Bar of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for both the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia, and the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern District of Ohio.

Andrew is married to Valerie Patterson Woofter and they have been blessed with five children. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Parkersburg, where he has served in various roles, including as a member of the Board of Trustees and as Lay Leader for a three-year term. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Parkersburg, having served as President for an eighteen month term in 2002 and 2003; his father is also an active member and past President, and his late grandfather was a member.

Andrew’s practice is limited to civil matters, with an emphasis on creditor’s rights, where he deals with collection matters, lending, loan workouts, bankruptcy matters, foreclosures and related issues. Andrew also handles general matters including Probate, wills and advance directives, business organization and planning, contracts of many varieties and related matters. He strives to maintain honesty and integrity in his practice, and works to serve his clients in a goal-oriented, efficient manner.
